More of the same
Many days I wonder if I'm cut out for this-this motherhood thing. It seems that I have more bad days than good days since Liam was born. I don't get along well with Rowan -we have our moments, but overall we argue and fight a lot during the day. It makes me really sad and I'm not quite sure what to do or who to turn to.

Hang in there, Hannah! I know where you are. As I've shared before, one of my children "tried" me just as your Rowan apparently does you. Just pray that God will give you the wisdom to see manipulation (of which ALL kids are masters, but some are so good that even Mom can't see it for what it is!) and the wisdom and nerves of steel that it takes to correct it. If you must have a conflict, then be sure to ALWAYS win. You can't afford not to! If you win 95% of the time, then Rowan will pin all his hopes on that 5% and life will still be miserable. 100% consistency. Patiently, WITHOUT EMOTION, firmly, resolve to win. No matter how long it takes, no matter how many tasks are left undone, no matter how many meals uneaten, no matter how many naps are delayed. It may take a couple weeks, but when you begin to see the fruit (PEACE!), you will be so encouraged. My Seth is 6 now, and our relationship is something very intimate and special. I don't favor him above the others, but he and I have been through war and lived to tell about it. We're joined for life!
Praying for you!
Thanks Tara!
