Fear

I am terrified by all of the suffering in the world. But what scares me the most is the horrible suffering of our most innocent-children.
Everywhere I look there are stories about miscarriages, SIDS, babies being shaken to death, childhood cancer, children being accidentally left to die in cars or backed over by their parents. I read a story on Facebook about a mother who went to check on her 4 month old and found him dead in his crib. I met two waitresses in the same restaurant who both had full-term stillborn babies. A couple in our church in Texas lost their 3 year old in car accident this past Saturday(distracted driver texting).
I struggle not to live in fear about how to keep my own children safe. I know that God wants me to be faithful.
My only comfort (and its a lot) is knowing that there is more than this and knowing that one day those parents will see their precious little ones again.
